A new report claims that Sgt. Rock has been scrapped by DC.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, DC Studios is not moving forward with director Luca Guadagnino’s Sgt. Rock. The movie would have starred The Batman‘s Colin Farrell and Challengers‘ Mike Faist. According to the report, Sgt. Rock’s story focused on Rock and a female French Resistance fighter trying “to find the mystical Spear of Destiny, the spear used to stab Jesus Christ during his crucifixion.” The DC movie was reportedly scrapped due to scheduling issues.
