Below Deck Down Under‘s original bosun Wihan du Toit was unceremoniously fired by Captain Jason Chambers during episode 11 of the current season after a series of failures on his part, but he didn’t drop the ball in the romance department. Well, technically he did, since he’s not dating anyone from the season, but he apparently has a new love interest, based on his Instagram. Below Deck Down Under season 3 was Wihan’s first season on reality TV. After reviewing the footage, he might want to rethink his work ethic as a yachtie, since he left much to be desired.
Wihan spent more time romancing the crew than actually working, even prompting deckhand Harry Van Vliet to comment at one point, “This isn’t The Bachelor, this is a super yacht.”
Wihan’s casual attitude towards work and management led to major issues within his department, which bled into other departments.
He seemed more interested in dating as many women as he could on super yacht Katina, rather than doing his job.

Wihan found himself involved in multiple love triangles during his short time on Katina. At first, he set his sights on stew Brianna “Bri” Duffield, but when Harry also made his feelings for Bri clear, and acted on them first, Wihan withdrew. He enjoyed a flirty relationship with Chef Tzarina Mace-Ralph, and even kissed her a few times. However, that romance felt a bit one-sided (and it wasn’t Wihan’s side).

After getting Tzarina interested, Wihan was asked out on a date with stew Marina Marcondes de Barros, and they also shared a kiss. This sent Tzarina into a spiral, but after all that chaos, Wihan decided he didn’t like either of them. He broke up with them both on the same night out, instead declaring that he was actually in love with Adair Werley.

Wihan Made Things Awkward
After Wihan’s love triangle with Marina and Tzarina, Wihan decided that he was interested in Adair. The problem was that Adair was Wihan’s direct report. However, that wasn’t an issue for Wihan. Again, Wihan’s leadership skills are questionable. Wihan swooped right in on Adair, who didn’t see it coming at all, since Wihan had shown zero interest in her.
“Adair, while country music is playing in the background, clearly those beautiful green eyes and beautiful smile has taken over and all I’m thinking about is the next time I’m seeing you again… Adair, I know we are working together and spending a lot of time together. I want to keep it professional at all times, but I won’t lie and say I don’t have feelings for you.”
Wihan decided to make things even more awkward for Adair by writing her a love letter. This is never a good idea when you’re on a reality show. The editors will make fun of you. And they made fun of Wihan, by having him read his letter out loud and replaying it as much as possible.

By the looks of Wihan’s Instagram, we’re happy to report that he’s moved on from Bri, Tzarina, Marina, and Adair. Hidden in a recent post is an album, and on the second slide, Wihan shared a pic of him and a woman tagged as Kayla Burger. Kayla’s profile is public, and she also shared an image, again, hidden in an album, of her and Wihan kissing.
Thankfully, Wihan has found another woman to share kisses with. Hopefully, Kayla has seen the season and isn’t too put off by Wihan’s behavior (and firing). It’s unclear if Kayla also works in yachting, but we’re really not sure Wihan does anymore either, given how his last gig went.
