Although My Hero Academia falls into the shōnen genre, this hasn’t stopped fans from being eager to see if Izuku Midoriya and Ochaco Uraraka would canonically form a relationship in the end. When pressed for more details on the matter, creator Kohei Horikoshi had very few words to say and didn’t comment one way or another about whether the pair actually got together.
“Please read Manga Volume 42 and use your own imagination for that answer.”
As cited in the My Hero Academia Plus Ultra Guide Book, Horikoshi urges readers to instead refer to the new volume that is releasing this upcoming October, volume #42. The latest manga in the franchise will cover the ending of the series as well as the epilogue detailing the lives of the heroes after the world is saved and what they are up to presently.
