Comic book legend Grant Morrison is returning to DC Comics to pen a new story, and it’s all because of everyone’s favorite hero, Batman. It’s been quite some time since Morrison has written a new story for the DC Universe, but a new opportunity to write the Caped Crusader is one that Morrison admits they just couldn’t pass up.
It was only last week that Grant Morrison revealed that they were up for a mysterious Big Two project on their Substack. Unfortunately, fans were left pondering which superhero universe Morrison was going to be bringing their special brand of magic to, since they were quite tight-lipped about details.
But as reported by AIPT, Morrison recently went on the Comic Book Couples Counciling podcast to discuss Morrison’s recent announcement. The iconic writer didn’t reveal much more than what they had already revealed in their previous Substack post, but they did finally reveal that their next work was “a Batman thing”.
