Grand Theft Auto 6 has officially been delayed, and the fan reactions are quite mixed to this news. Some fans are excited to have heard anything about the game after its long silence, while others are grateful that the game actually has an official release date of May 26, 2026, after its announcement trailer over 500 days ago.
MSO on X replied to the delay announcement, saying: “FINALLY,” in regard to getting information about the game and the official release date, but then quickly followed up with “2026????? nah i take it back,” when the user realized the game is not coming out this May but rather May 2026. Over on Reddit in a post from agga420, responses are also mixed, with some users thanking Rockstar for delaying the game to polish it, while others are holding resentment at the new date, and others are speculating the game gets delayed again to fall 2026.
