Jurassic World Rebirth‘s runtime has been revealed. The 2025 movie is the seventh installment in the long-running dinosaur adventure franchise, which kicked off in 1993 with Steven Spielberg’s hit Michael Crichton adaptation Jurassic Park. The upcoming Jurassic World Rebirth, which was directed by Gareth Edwards, introduces a crop of new characters to the universe as Zora Bennett (Scarlett Johansson) is approached by a pharmaceutical company to go on a covert mission with paleontologist Dr. Henry Loomis (Jonathan Bailey) on a team led by Duncan Kincaid (Mahershala Ali).

On the AMC Theatres listing for Jurassic World Rebirth, which does not yet have pre-sale tickets available, the runtime of the movie has been unveiled. The listed runtime is 2 hours and 14 minutes, which marks the incoming installment as the second longest entry in the entire franchise. It falls behind only 2022’s Jurassic World Dominion, which ran for 2 hours and 27 minutes.

What This Means For Jurassic World Rebirth

It Is Still In Line With The Rest Of The Franchise

While Rebirth is one of the longest-running Jurassic movies, the franchise’s runtimes have generally fallen within a relatively narrow range, with only two outliers. While Dominion was especially long and the trilogy-ending Jurassic Park III is by far the shortest at 1 hour and 32 minutes, the majority of the installments have been just over two hours long, so Rebirth falls in line with that overall trend. Below, see a breakdown of the runtime of every installment in the franchise:

Title

Run Time

Jurassic Park (1993)

2 hours 7 minutes

The Lost World: Jurassic Park (1997)

2 hours 9 minutes

Jurassic Park III (2001)

1 hour 32 minutes

Jurassic World (2015)

2 hours 4 minutes

Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom (2018)

2 hours 8 minutes

Jurassic World Dominion (2022)

2 hours 27 minutes

Jurassic World Rebirth (2025)

2 hours 14 minutes

Jurassic World Rebirth is only five minutes longer than the next longest installment in the franchise, which is 1997’s The Lost World. With the exception of Jurassic Park III, which is the shortest of them all by 32 minutes, the remainder of the titles all exist within a five-minute range of The Lost World, showcasing how consistent the franchise’s runtimes have been up to this point. While it seems that there has been a recent trend for runtimes to be increased overall, running for 2 hours and 14 minutes does not mark a major break from the norm.

Our Take On The Jurassic World Rebirth Runtime

It Could Cause Problems

It remains to be seen if this runtime presents the new movie with an impediment at the box office. While running for 147 minutes did not prevent Dominion from grossing more than $1 billion worldwide by the end of its run, it featured a major crossover by featuring the main cast members from both the original trilogy and the World trilogy. The Jurassic World Rebirth cast, which also includes Manuel Garcia-Rulfo, Rupert Friend, David Iacono, and Ed Skrein, does not boast similar legacy stars, so it may have a more difficult time enticing audiences into theaters.
