Farmer John’s journey has been filled with drama, the bulk of which came from his relationship with Samantha Riehl. Although Samantha self-eliminated, giving John a chance to connect with the other Farmer Wants A Wife season 3 cast members, it’s unlikely he’ll end up with anyone when the season ends.
Unlike the other farmers looking for love on the reality dating show, John isn’t a full-time farmer. He’s currently in law school, giving him limited time to manage his family’s farm. John isn’t settled in his career, and although that doesn’t inherently mean he’s not ready for marriage, he’s shown other signs he’ll leave Farmer Wants A Wife single.

Although Samantha came off as intense during her first speed date with John, he instantly liked her and invited her back to his farm a whole day before the other women joined them. Due to the self-serving attitude she displayed, Samantha was dubbed the villain of the show. Alas, this didn’t seem to faze John, and Samantha only left on her own accord.
Although John likely didn’t know this when he developed a connection with the blonde bombshell, Samantha may not have been on the show for the right reasons. Samantha is a social media influencer, and it’s very possible she came on Farmer Wants A Wife to boost her follower count. Samantha left the show early, proving further that she wasn’t interested in John.
Falling for an unavailable woman is a sign John isn’t ready for marriage.
John Couldn’t Handle Kaylee’s Tears
He’s Not Mature Enough To Handle Emotions
John isn’t the youngest farmer on Farmer Wants A Wife season 3, but he’s not the oldest, nor the most mature. He proved this with his reaction to Kaylee Hane’s honesty. Kaylee admitted to the farmer she’s an emotional person, something John saw firsthand when he invited a new woman back to the farm, causing Kaylee to cry.

He Doesn’t Have Any Strong Connections
Despite the show’s title, John isn’t expected to marry any of the female suitors on camera, a stark difference from shows like Love Is Blind or Married at First Sight. However, many conversations on the show revolve around the future, including marriage and kids. Most likely, Farmer Wants A Wife‘s John Sansone won’t walk away with a serious relationship. He isn’t mature enough, nor is he clear on what he’s looking for.
Farmer Wants A Wife has a decent success rate, with a quarter of couples remaining together since the show premiered on Fox in 2023. Viewers will have to wait to see if John will become another success story for the show. Unfortunately, it’s not looking probable.
