Warning! This post contains SPOILERS for Andor season 2 episodes 1-6.Andor season 2 contains a key Padmé Amidala Easter egg, revealing a connection to one of the most important characters in Andor season 2. Andor season 2, the newest addition to Star Wars movies and TV shows, has released 6 of its 12 episodes so far, and it’s already been full of various twists and major story arcs. The Andor season 2 premiere’s Easter eggs alone reveal just how groundbreaking this second and final season of the show is going to be.
Many of Andor’s Easter eggs have been contained within Luthen’s gallery, which is full of incredible ancient artifacts. Now, a post by holocronkeeper on Instagram confirms that a few of those artifacts have a direct Naboo connection; namely: Luthen’s gallery contains at least two headdresses once worn by Padmé Amidala herself.
As shown in the image, Queen Amidala’s headdress from Star Wars: Episode I – The Phantom Menace and Padmé’s headdress from Star Wars: Episode II – Attack of the Clones are both among the many artifacts contained within Luthen’s gallery.
We’ve Long Noticed A Connection Between Luthen & Naboo
Even Andor Season 1 Nodded Towards This
Admittedly, this connection between Luthen and Naboo doesn’t come as a major shock. There’s long been speculation that Luthen has such a connection to Naboo, with some even theorizing that a few of the headdresses seen in Luthen’s shop in Andor season 1 were Padmé’s (one of them being the headdress worn by Padmé on Naboo in Attack of the Clones, pictured above). However, the appearance of Queen Amidala’s iconic headdress confirms beyond a doubt that these artifacts were indeed worn by Padmé herself.
There are now other hints that the remainder of Andor season 2 could include even more extensive connections between Luthen and Naboo. Specifically, we know that one of the filming locations for Andor season 2 is Hever Castle in England, which was used as a location for exterior shots on Naboo in The Phantom Menace. Could this mean a direct return to Naboo later on this season?

Our Take On Luthen’s Naboo Connection
This Is A Small But Thrilling Callback To Padmé
However brief or small, the appearance of Padmé’s headdresses in Andor season 2 is an exciting callback to one of Star Wars’ best characters. It’s clear that Padmé is an essential part of Star Wars, not only because of her role as Anakin Skywalker’s wife and the mother of Luke and Leia, but also because of her influence as Queen and then Senator of Naboo. Yet, since Disney’s acquisition of Star Wars, mentions of Padmé have been few and far between.
I’m still hoping to see an even deeper connection to Padmé in the long-term in Star Wars, but this is a thrilling first step. In fact, it’s specifically interesting to think about how Padmé’s legacy lives on in the galaxy, given the fact that her headdresses appearing in Luthen’s gallery suggest they are considered rare and valuable. Hopefully, this Padmé Amidala Easter egg in Andor season 2 reveals that the galaxy remains interested in her legacy and her story—perhaps opening the door to even more connections to her in the future.
