Baby Reindeer is one of the most disturbing TV series in recent memory, but they had a touching moment at the end of episode 6, when they dedicated it to Llewellyn Harrison. Released in 2024, the Netflix miniseries blew up seemingly overnight, and won many major awards, including the Emmy for Best Outstanding Limited or Anthology Series. While many viewers were curious about the real-life people whom Baby Reindeer is based on, the late Llewellyn Harrison had nothing to do with the disturbing true events. Harrison was actually a member of the Baby Reindeer crew, serving as a key grip for all 7 episodes. A key grip is a senior role on film and TV shoots, who leads the grip department in rigging, setting up, and adjusting all camera, lighting, and other electrical equipment. It’s a pivotal role that doesn’t get the credit it deserves.

As he’s not a public figure, not much is known about Llewellyn Harrison. Since filming for Baby Reindeer wrapped in March 2023, and the series premiered in April 2024, Harrison must have passed away in between that time frame, likely at the start of 2024. One particularly heartfelt comment from Francesca Brooks reads, “The sweetest grip in the world. The film industry will be a worse place without him.“

You may not have heard of Llewellyn Harrison before the Baby Reindeer tribute card, but you’ve definitely heard of the many movies and shows he’s worked on. With 61 credits to his name, many of Harrison’s projects were British crime shows, including Scott & Bailey, Top Boy, and Suspect, his last credit before his death.

However, Harrison also worked on some notable movies, including Luca Guadagnino’s underrated A Bigger Splash and even the MCU’s The Marvels, which was filmed in England. Baby Reindeer was Llewellyn Harrison‘s penultimate credit.
